		<description>The devil is certainly in the details, as you&#039;ve noted. The more complicated (and costly) the biosimilar approval pathway becomes, the less effective it will be in achieving its intended goal of bringing increased economic competition to the biologic space. But as you wrote, much scientific and manufacturing rigor is necessary to ensure the safety and efficacy of these products. Hopefully Congress will take a thoughtful approach to legislation in this area--much more is at stake than simply dollars and cents.</description>
